The MADIREL laboratory brings together specialists in the development of divided materials, thermodynamics of interfaces and adsorption from liquid or gaseous phases, electrical properties of materials and electrochemistry, and modeling of interfacial phenomena. The activities of our laboratory, currently composed of 39 permanent staff, are divided into 3 main teams which have as common points the materials with high density of interfaces, the experimental and theoretical methods allowing the description of the phenomena studied.The targeted applications mainly concern the separation and storage of gases, the treatment of liquids and surfaces (purification, detergency), composite electrolytesfor battery and nanostructured materials for storage and conversion of energy.
